About me and my practice
In my therapeutic approach my main focus is to create a non-judgmental environment of acceptance and trust so I can support my clients' growth in self-awareness. According to my understanding this is key to the ability to resolve issues which might stand in the way of achieving a more harmonious and well-balanced existence. It also helps us take back control so we can make the changes we desire.
I trained in Integrative counselling, which includes Person-centred Therapy, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I use these modalities in an intuitive and dynamic way to work with the whole person, not just a specific problem. My aim is to guide, and to support my Clients on their journey in a caring and compassionate way.
Experience
I have experience working with trauma, bereavement/loss, anxiety, depression, suicidal feelings, dysfunctional relationships, adolescence, and much more.
I also work as a Listening Volunteer for the Samaritans.
